The biggest misconception about twitter is that it's irrelevant. If you don't understand the power of this medium to connect people and spread information, you'll learn soon.

I am pretty random and sporadic with my tweeting. If I think it's funny and won't come back to embarrass me later, I will usually pull the trigger. I am not always in the mood to tweet, especially if I'm mobile.

Breaking news, especially in the political arena will usually mean some tweets from me.

I will tweet a lot about the Arizona Cardinals, but this year has been tough. Hopefully the 2011 season goes much better for the #birdgang

I try to keep my feed upbeat and humorous. I will always respond to an @reply, if not always right away. I also actively list people, if you find that kind of thing important.

I have found them extremely helpful in finding people to follow and engage with, not only for myself but also the organizations and businesses I represent.

Of course I recommend my lists for following as I have put a lot of thought and time into all of them.
