I became interested in Twitter when I realized that it had the potential to do more than spread celebrity "gossip." Specifically, I thought that I had best not, to reuse a trite turn of phrase, "judge the book by its cover," so I figured I would give Twitter a try to see what it is really about.
I have been delighted to find that I am able to quickly glean news-worthy information from a variety of sources, many of whom I would be completely unaware of if not for Twitter. Hope that answers the question!
