We're keeping it wild in the NW. Join us as our staff member Jasmine Minbashian stars this year in BBC's #LandoftheLostWolves, on BBC/Discovery!
Listorious Interview
wildlife, healthy ecosystems, clean air, clean water, old growth, preserve our heritage, and of course, ponies for all
Free ponies for all
#wolfwednesday !! It is a great way to tell the world that you are someone who wants healthy ecosystems with all the animals in them.
Sometimes Saturdays and Sundays slip by pretty quickly...
Hopefully we haven't made too many, but it seems it is a bad move to be rude to people. Don't say anything you wouldn't say to someone's face
I try to avoid shortening as much as possible, but it's hard when you want to make your tweet re-tweetable. So, yeah, it's all fair game!
I've always been a fan of @BethKanter She is doing great work to help NPOs use these new-fangled tools the best way possible.
We had our ED tweeting live from a very important legislative meeting that yielded great results for Columbia Highlands: http://bit.ly/uJCEr
In the beginning, we followed everyone who followed us, but quickly realized how crazy that is. We follow PNW folks & NPOs now
Real time is not just a fun outreach tool- it creates an opportunity to distill your mission/message and make it accessible. <3 it!
I haven't yet delved into apps--no one at NPOs has any free time :P
Not yet, though we were really calling out pretty regularly for wolf comments last month. I hope folks realize it's all for a good cause!
Take 10 minutes every day to use Twitter to make the world a better place...share an action alert, ask friends to join an NPO, talk goodness!
Most interesting to me is to chat with real people (as opposed to news entities or orgs). I like the conversation best of all.
A fab outreach tool to connect with people who care about healthy ecosystems, abundant wildlife, scenic lands, and strong communities.
The quiet beauty of eastern WA, craggy peaks of the N Cascades, mossy old growth giants, howl of wolves, & people who work hard 4 the wilds
What will twitter do for you this year?
@FreeChocolateForAll
I would like all our members who have accounts to follow us and share our work with friends. Barring that, maybe @highcountrynews
Well, our deathly clever wit, of course!
It has given us a huge opportunity to do even more good in the wilds of the PNW, so yeah, you could say that.
Our members, our staff, our board, our supporters, @groundwire, and chocolate
We wanted to get out into the world to hear what is important to people, share our vision for a wild NW, and interact w/ other wildlife fans.
