I won't shorten the word dogs but I've been known to shorten just about everything else...even though it sometimes looks silly...
Yes (although I don't remember...I guess they weren't memorable). It was because of their excessive over-tweeting.

I use Twitter to make new contacts in the dog world, to research what's new of interest to dog lovers, and to promote DogTipper.com.
I always try to personalize my tweets, even if I'm just passing along the URL of an article I just wrote.
