Listorious Interview
Lots of funny Tweeps, but my most fun Tweep is @deepwaterscoach for her #CheesyDiscoFriday blips (when she's in the mood). ;-)
It's changing so fast every day I can hardly keep up with it as it is. The 3rd party apps that have been emerging only over the past year are fantastic (I'm thinking of things like Twaitter, Tweet Adder, Paper.li and others), and I cannot possibly predict what's next.
Top 5 reasons why you should follow me and add me to your lists:
1) I offer great tips for writers and anyone who wants to know how to market authentically using social networking;
2) I am a great connector, referrer and retweeter. My success in life is in helping others success and look good in public. It is my pleasure to help you and to help you meet others who can help you. :-)
3) I promote some of the most cutting edge mind-body-spirit authors on the market and every month I host numerous radio shows, webinars and telesummits where you can hear great information on everything from healing to spirituality to new business/marketing and more;
4) I originally come from the music industry and every now and then I get into a musical mood. When I do, I share some really tasty tracks I find on Last.fm. Business isn't everything, after all;
5) I have a slightly absurd sense of humour and I do like to kid around with people on Twitter. My BEST business contacts and friends have come to me via Twitter. I'm basically a Twitter geek.
@Mashable is certainly one-of-a-kind, as it keeps all of us Tweeps informed as to the latest technology available for us social networkers. 3rd party apps like @listorious @formulists @twaitter @smallrivers make Twitter come alive :-))
I think Twitter lists are the BEST way to find targeted followers. It's like having a library of referrals at your disposal. I have several different Twitter accounts, each targeting slightly different audiences. I also build up Twitter following for my clients. I love finding good lists by people I respect on Twitter, and then programming Tweet Adder to follow them. I also watch the action on specific lists on TweetDeck. It helps me build rapport with new people in my field, and develop strong networking bonds. I think lists are just about the best thing Twitter has come up with over the past year, and 3rd party apps like Listorious make them that much more powerful. As to follow-worthy lists, I'd say they are only as "worthy" as your target audience and their own activity on Twitter. I would rather have 10,000 carefully targeted followers than 100,000 non-targeted ones. What is a great list for me might be completely irrelevant than what you need, and vice versa.
