Hey Stephen. How do you separate the idea of personal involvement towards an issue as opposed to a detached perspective- any thoughts? Tks.
Well, it is very hard to be seperate and detached from a situation while being involved in it...although you can get someone else's perspective to a situation and this can help to be unbiased in a perspective.
I find that being very up close to a situation, can make us very close to the idea, and the situation, or person.
This can make us very biased to a situation, idea or person.
Some detachment can be achieved by asking others about the situation, or idea, or rather topic.
This can help us be more detached and better able to make a better decision in the end.
