Listorious Interview

Have you ever unfollowed someone? Who and why?

One time this person followed me, so I followed back. Then later this person changed their picture, and personally I do not want to see naked pictures on my twitter feed, so I un-followed this person.

What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?

The most interesting connection I have made through twitter is everyone who is following me. Twitter has opened up (The Entire World). Twitter is global and I cannot imagine not having (The World) to interact with. I have learned so much through so many; the twitter community is absolutely priceless.

What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?

I think everyone is doing what they feel they need to do; like I am. When I tweeted about my mothers passing; sure I am positive some thought it to be strange, but I needed to do it. Everyone, (The World on Twitter), has to do what they think is best. We are who we are made to be, and for that I love all tweets.

Ever get called out for tweeting too much?

Not yet, but maybe someday that will happen. I hope if I do someone will be nice enough to DM me and tell me.

What was the funniest trend you've seen?

Oh my goodness what a question; do I have to be honest? Of course I do, so the funniest trend was called, “If Santa Was Black.” That was the funniest trend to date. Good clean-cut jokes. I laughed all the way through Christmas.

What question are we not asking here that we should?

I think you should ask, “How do you think by being on twitter has changed the lives of your followers?” “What difference do you think you have made to your followers by being on twitter?”

Is there someone you want to follow you who doesn't already? If so, who?

I would love it if Alfred A. Knopf followed me back, because I am a writer and it has always been my dream to be published by Knoph publishers.

How do you use Twitter in your professional life?

I have used twitter to find job and I have found many writers jobs. They pay ok, and one paid well enough to pay my high utility bill so that was terrific. I also use it to promote my two blogs, hook up with Linkined, and facebook, which I use for my colleges. I have also used it to make new leadership colleges, and I am beginning to get offers to public speak on various topics.

Who do you wish had a Twitter feed but doesn't?

Robin Williams, because he is hysterically funny. I cannot imagine how his tweets would be. I saw him on twitter for a time, but then he left. I bet he could really mess with people; make them all laugh.

clearleadership in response to Listorious

What inspires you to tweet?

I have learned so much through my fellow followers, and so I also tweet in hopes that someone will also learn from mine.

Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?

Twitter has changed how I look at life and how I have perceived it to be. I have found communities that I did not know existed and never thought of, however because I have found such communities I realized that some of those communities are things I am also interested in and want/wanted to become apart of.

How do you make your tweets unique?

I take my educational background and bring it to my personal and moral ethics in the workplace.

clearleadership in response to Listorious

Why'd you start tweeting?

I started tweeting because I wanted to meet like-minded people. I found that and a while lot more.

Terms you wish would start trending on Twitter right now?

Terms? I think everything is going to plan, if new terms start great; if not who cares. I might start a new one tomorrow, or another follower might. Let us see what 2010 does for twitter; I bet it will be great!

What feature should Twitter add?

I think twitter should have their own type, (Utube) but for twitterer members only. Maybe you can call it, (U-Twib) I would also like to see twitter user e-mail; only for the persons twitter id name, account, etc. It is very hard to keep twitter account separate from personal or business e-mail.

Hashtag you created that you wish everyone used?

#FW #Shoutouts #GreatPeeps #Tweetnow

What are some words or phrases you refuse to shorten for brevity?

I would love to see more communities evolve. I love the new, (List) because it helps people to do this. I think twitter should have their own type, (Utube) but for twitterer members only. Maybe you can call it, (U-Twib)

Who do you admire most for his or her use of Twitter?

@OHHDLInfo His Holiness the Dalai Lama. His tweets are straight and to the point. Simple messages of love, hope, courage, and much more. One of the most exciting days on twitter is when he followed me back; what an honor.

clearleadership in response to Listorious

What are some big Twitter faux pas?

I do not care about someone's sex life.

clearleadership in response to Listorious

What's your best tweet?

"Leadership is action, not position." (Donald H. McGannon)

How long can you go without a tweet?

Family first, so with that being said I have gone a weekend. Now, did I want to check my twitter account during that time; ah yeah…..I did not however because when I tell my family something I do it or I do not do it; even if it kills me. But, you want to know something spectacular? I was my mothers caregiver for almost three years, and before, during and after she passed away I blogged, and then tweeted my blog post, and I am glad I did. I had phone calls from people I met on twitter, I had DM’s, and @ expressing their love for me, my mother and my family. I needed this community love more than I realized. I had a phone call from a twitterer and he said, “I read your blog as your mother was dying and I wept in awe of your love for her.” I have 4 family members on twitter and they also needed to see my blog and my blog/tweets. They were far away at that time and they needed this so much, so for this I am grateful to twitter. Here is the best thing; when my mother finally passed away January 09, 2010 a twitter friend suggested I post a donate button on my BlogSpot, because to be honest I did not know how I was going to cremate her, so I did post it on my blog then tweeted it and gained just enough money to make sure my mother was cremated.
