It was really interesting when Interview Magazine used my portrait of Andy Warhol for their Twitter avatar!
As an artist I am a born communicator. I have things to share, and then I find more and RT. I like to lurk the stream.
Dead people. Like my Dad or Aunt Edith. Or van Gogh, Rembrandt, Warhol, Einstein, Gandhi, etc. Imagine tweeting with them!
I’m not going to out anyone.
Yes! Gave me the opportunity to connect with people from around the world who have inspired me, shared info &/or made me laugh!
I think many great artists, such as Andy Warhol, Vincent van Gogh and Leonardo DaVinci would have loved Twitter, where there is such an immediacy and cornucopia of ideas being discussed. They would have been themselves and as they did in their writings (and Warhol’s interviews) Tweeted on whatever interested them, which was not always art. When I tweet, I try to emulate those artists by tweeting about what interests me, in addition to art. I do not tweet as a brand but as a human being who is an artist.
A PC, the Internet (including Twitter), acrylic paint ( an immediate medium) great art museums, indoor plumbing and laughter!
I started tweeting as a way to reach out to people beyond the confines of galleries, shows and art events, which are great but reach a limited audience.

My record is 17 hours when I went away for the day and forgot my phone.
