It's helpful to be able to search through lists of interest - like, for me, being able to search through the WordPress list is helpful
Lists are the number one way to manage and find followers. I use them to mentor new people and follow high value SME's.
My list of course is great for #ehealth @cascadia/ehealth_leaders
Twitter lists that I create are useful in terms of ease. If I'm at a conference I like the hashtag lists for that particular conference. Definitely a tool that I want to explore with more and would suggest that you do the same.
No. Twitter Lists have proven to be a non-event for my needs.
Twitter lists- yes! Especially for new users, they are incredibly useful for building up your network and subscribing to feeds that will provide you with value, insight and news.
For those who have used Twitter for a long time, they are are a great way to discover new thought leaders and inspiring new contacts.
Yes, I find them useful. The most useful lists that I have found are @ahier's healthcare list and @psweetman's NHS organisations list
Yes: except I wish you guys would note that I am actually on 729 lists instead of the number you have, which is way less. Follow-worthy lists: Mashable's lists; Scobleizer's, all the top peeps.
Twitter lists have become powerful tools to better organize specific skill sets and shared information into groups (lists).
People and companies that have been listed on Teksquisite include 4 power lists:
http://twitter.com/#/list/teksquisite/forensics
http://twitter.com/#/list/teksquisite/security
http://twitter.com/#/list/teksquisite/women-in-tech-infosec
http://twitter.com/#/list/teksquisite/tech
The power lists generally have access and strong influence in their areas of expertise. I also use private lists to monitor the twitterverse in order to find profiles that could possibly become a valuable asset to add to a current list (or to create a new list).
I use public lists to collate and to better manage the people I follow. I currently follow 71 lists.
Some follow-worthy lists include:

http://twitter.com/Scobleizer/most-influential-in-tech

Twitter lists can be useful if we focus on creating unique lists that give others some insight or access they did not have before, or cannot maintain themselves.
I suggest checking out the masters of wine list here as an example: http://twitter.com/thirstforwine/masters-of-wine
The Funniest Twitter users is always a good list to follow! http://listorious.com/Favstar/top-50-funny
absolutely! I use lists to enhance and make my experience better and more pertinent to what topics I am looking for info on!
Yes but I am on too many 2.040 which means I cant follow them all back
I really don't have time for lists.
Twitter list are very useful for keeping up with the people and topics you want to hear about.
Yes, I use them all of the time to make sure I'm connecting with people based on their passion. It's also fascinating to see how people categorize your account!
Yes, Twitter lists are astoundingly useful for organizing communications. For instance, we're an entertainment industry resource, so being able to split people out by their niche in the industry really facilitates running down the most salient comments from thought leaders in pretty much every area.
It's good to see who others find follow worthy like @lloydvincent/japan and @ShellTerrell/educator-pln
Twitter lists are GREAT! I think mashable has a good celeb list.
I'm in a lot of lists but I haven't worked out how to make use of them yet.
Twitter lists are a useful feature for accounts that follow many users. They help you cut out the noise and be selective. If you're not really into something, that doesn't mean you don't respect it, or follow people who are. That's where lists come in handy, as a filter. The opposite is true too, you could group accounts on the same topic into a list and closely follow what you are most interested in.
It's even more useful because of apps like flipboard, that turn lists into living magazines.
Absolutely. Twitter lists is how I tune to twitter to pay attention to certain topics or people I consider important. I have several public lists like @tsudo/news and @tsudo/politics that I use and share and then my private inner circle and outer circle lists are my gold mine. I credit @scobleizer for opening my mind to the potential of lists. I also follow @ARwx/wxexperts for Arkansas weather news.
Lists are most useful to me for live events -- during the NHL playoffs last year, the Caps compiled a handy list of everyone tweeting in the press box.
That's why I came here - to discover them. There are so many amazing people on Twitter this is a good way to find the ones you are interested in.
Lists in Twitter are like recommendations of who to follow. A user's brand is confirmed by the lists others put them into. By browsing through lists, it confirms those that have value to offer and should be followed.
Yes, they are very useful when you want to read stuff quickly.
I recommend you to follow my list http://twitter.com/uberblogged/socialbiz for reading a lot of companies and brands doing their stuff in Social Media
Absolutely. Love http://twitter.com/TheWhyFiles/recommended-by-you because it created by our fans!
If you follow a lot of people and you need to get fresh insights on a topic - best to create a list that contains experts that will feed your mind.
Also, value comes from "who" curates a list too.
Examples:
Zeldman design list:
https://twitter.com/zeldman/design
Behance creatives to watch list:
https://twitter.com/Behance/creatives-to-watch
@mmmcgu/carleton-j-grads
Augmented Reality, Internet of Things were helpful.
I suggest them actually 4 all new users who struggle w/ who they should follow-I certainly would pt. them 2 this one-http://twitter.com/#/list/Marc_Meyer/hashtagsocialmedia-hosts
I am honored to be listed and to list all of the awesome friends on twitter!
I love my twitter lists and people should follow New Zealand Businesses on Twitter here http://twitter.com/JustinFlitter/nzbiz-2 and here
http://twitter.com/JustinFlitter/nzbiz
When I use to follow 1k+ people, lists were great. Now, I'm down to under 400 people. I had to clean out the closet.
Yes, I keep my own Lead Change Group list http://twitter.com/mikehenrysr/leadchange which has many people with an interest in leadership development.
Twitter lists can be great: I love all the TopTenTopTen lists.
I find them very useful for keeping track of people in certain industries or geographies. My favorite list is the one I complied, Social Media 40 OVER 40. It's a list of social media experts who are over 40 years of age -- I created it because I was sick of all the 40 under 40 lists.
It's a great list management tool and whats greater than that are the new features and updates unlike other tools.
I'm just starting to get into Twitter lists. Moving from Tweetdeck to web, I'm going to use them more.
australianmedia - 500 Australian journalists on Twitter
Yes although I am still working out how to best use them @foliosociety/book-lovers
I love twitter lists! I use them like networking venues and cocktail parties. Sometimes my head feels like a nice art gallery stroll and sometimes a beer in a pub. Viewing and participating in different lists is no different than moving around to various social/networking gatherings from academic, to social to professional.
The Twitter Lists are very interesting and useful. They help in with keeping up with friends, and family, as well as targeting, marketing, and promoting. It is a good idea to search and see which one is good for you as an individual and follow it, as each person will find a list that is more important to them and worthy of their follow.
