It's difficult to be definitive; CU has a process under way (accelerated) to reinvent the J School, which should emerge as a new interdisciplinary school offering agile, relevant, technologically savvy journalism education. Earliest that could open for business is fall 2012. Meanwhile, the existing School is pushing forward with digital-media initiatives: Boulder Digital Works, my Digital Media Test Kitchen, Digital Newsroom and Resolving Door courses, a new master's curriculum due shortly, and emphasis on media entrepreneurship. I would expect those programs to continue to grow, and more to be added. It's an exciting time to be part of CU, and even if next year is tumultuous, I expect this to be a positive process, and I hope to be around through it. Again, though, I'm not a spokesman, and can only make educated guesses. Personally, I'm excited about what's ahead for CU journalism!
